Plaud Note vs Plaud Note Pro

Short answer

Plaud Note Pro is our preferred new purchase within Plaud’s card range when the premium is modest. Keep the original Note if it already meets your needs, and consider Notta Memo if you are open to changing brands.

What does the Note Pro add?

Plaud Note Pro adds a display, automatic mode selection, a broader microphone setup and an endurance option. The value is in how those features change capture, rather than a completely separate transcription service. Both models feed the Plaud software ecosystem.

Is the Plaud Note Pro worth $30 more?

At the published $159 versus $189 device prices, we would spend the additional $30 for the Pro on a first purchase. That conclusion is an editorial judgement about the feature difference. It does not imply that every recording or transcript becomes better by the same amount.

Which should you buy?

Buy the Pro if the small premium is affordable and you expect to use its controls. Buy the original Note at a stronger discount or keep an existing unit. Our first choice across brands is Notta Memo, so the decision need not stay inside Plaud’s range.

Frequently asked questions

Is Plaud Note Pro worth it over Plaud Note?

For a first purchase with a $30 price gap, we favour the Pro. An existing Note owner should upgrade only for a feature they expect to use.

Is the original Plaud Note discontinued?

Plaud’s current comparison still lists it. Check stock in your country and the exact retailer offer.
